Annually 60000 units of blood and its components are issued to patients and industry against a collection of 35000 units. The figures are increasing every year.

For the production of PLASMA DERIVATIVES a whopping 12000 units of plasma was supplied in 2009 to Reliance Life Sciences. This figure has increased three times in a span of just 3 years starting from 4000 units in 2007.

Status of Regional Blood Transfusion Centre for Surat, Tapi, Bharuch and Narmada districts given by Gujarat State Blood Transfusion Council, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

On 7th April 2009, the World health day, Additional Project Director, GSACS handed over sophisticated Mobile blood donation van to SRKRC (cost 2.5 million, 2.1 million grant from Gujarat Government).

On 31st May 2010, in Gandhinagar, Shri Jaynarayan Vyas, Health Minister handed over Blood Transportation Van to SRKRC on behalf of NACO and Gujarat State AIDS Control Society.

First of its kind the ASHA PAREKH Trophy from Gujarat State Red Cross Society was awarded in 1984 for highest number of voluntary blood units collected in the year.

The ASHA PAREKH Trophy continued to shine in the show case of SRKRC for the year 1985,1986, 1989, 1999.

A beautiful trophy was awarded in the year 1999 by the National Plasma Fractionation Centre for supplying maximum number of plasma units.

The year 2002 brought the recognition as 'RESEARCH INSTITUTE' from the Department of Science and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology and Government of India.
